“PICTURE POTATOFEST” PARTICIPANT GUIDELINES

Win a 50” LG Plasma HD TV just by visiting businesses in Downtown Rhinelander in a fun, scavenger-hunt style contest leading through PotatoFest!  Use your camera or smartphone to take pictures of every “Picture PotatoFest” poster in Downtown Rhinelander and be entered to win a 50” LG Plasma HD TV from Forest TV & Appliances in downtown Rhinelander.  Picture PotatoFest is a great way to spend time downtown while on a quest for a great grand prize.

Here’s how it works:

  • Visit each business and take a picture of their “Picture PotatoFest” poster.  Posters could be in a front display window or somewhere inside the store.
  • Email your pictures of all Picture PotatoFest posters to drinews@frontier.com.
  • You’ll be entered to win a 50” LG Plasma HD TV from Forest TV & Appliance!
  • The winner of the TV will be selected out of all qualifying entries.  You need not be present to win.

Visit each of the 45 participating downtown businesses and snap a picture of the numbered PotatoFest posters.  Once you've found all 45, email them to drinews@frontier.com and you'll be entered to win the new TV!
Posters are up now and will be up through September 1st.  Qualifying entries must be received by 4pm, September 1st.

Get those camera shutter fingers snapping!  Enjoy the chase during Picture PotatoFest.  For questions, contact Downtown Rhinelander, Inc., at drinews@frontier.com or 715-362-7374.

Vendor Application for PotatoFest 2014.

The Second Annual PotatoFest, hosted by Downtown Rhinelander Inc. and Tri-County Council-Lily’s House, will be held on August 30, 2014. The mission of PotatoFest is to have a positive community event that will gain recognition and popularity. We seek to highlight the potato and bring awareness to the public how vital it is to our area. Wisconsin is ranked 3rd in the country for potato growing and Rhinelander develops many types and supplies a high percentage of the plants used yearly by the growers.

The festival is a spud-filled day of activities such as a parade, a French Fry Frenzy, the YMCA Couch Potato Race,  a potato salad cook-off and so much more. There are food vendors, craft vendors and live music including Scott Kirby & Friends, Nikki & The Nimrods and the Dweebs throughout the afternoon into the evening providing entertainment for all ages.
