Downtown Rhinelander- The Heart of the Community

Our Mission: Dedicated to strengthening the Rhinelander community through historic preservation and economic development.

Our Vision: Downtown is vibrant, lively, and the heart and soul of our community.  It is a destination to shop, work, eat, play and live.

We believe DRI is a leader in the development of our community
We believe the river determined our past and is our future

Downtown Rhinelander Incorporated (DRI) is a collaboration of property owners, business people and community volunteers who have jointly committed to strengthening the Rhinelander community and Downtown Rhinelander utilizing the Main Street four point approach.  The approach was established by the National Trust for Historic Preservation in 1980.

In 2006 Rhinelander was designated as a Main Street Community.  The underlying premise is to encourage economic development within the context of historic preservation in ways appropriate to today's market place.  The Four Points work together to build a sustainable and complete community revitalization effort.
